Elke Sada

Elke Sada is a german ceramic artist based in Leipzig. After earning her bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1987, she worked as a research technician for 12 years before pursuing her dream of becoming a full-time artist. She earned a BA in 3rd-design ceramics from Bath Spa University in 2003 before enrolling in an MA in Ceramics &amp; Glass at London's prestigious Royal College of Art in 2005.Sada's exquisite artworks have been celebrated in numerous galleries globally since 2004. Her artwork, featured in various publications, is also part of several collections, including the Musée Ariana in Geneva, the International Design Museum in Munich, the World Ceramic Center in Icheon, South Korea, and private collections such as the Jorge Pérez Collection in Miami. Elke Sada has been a nominee for various awards in past years, the most recent being the finalist for Loewe Craft Prize 2019.&nbsp;

Chidy Wayne is a Spanish Guinean multidisciplinary artist based in Barcelona. Painting, sculpture, design, music, and animation are among the areas in which he works. Wayne crafts a personal code of signs and motifs with deep symbolic meaning; his drawings, the result of years of philosophical reflection, are made with swift, bold strokes, revealing universal and timeless themes like existence, identity, and internal strife. Influenced by the avant-garde, ancestral and cultural influences, he gives them a primordial aspect while also embracing urban art and contemporary forms into his work.

Anouk Peeters, an Indian-born artist, received her training in jewellery and silversmithing at Sint Lucas in Antwerp. Peeters, currently based in Paris, is a self-taught dancer, choreographer, and performer. Her practice takes inspiration from her experience as a dancer with a focus on rhythm, space, and movement. Her artistic endeavours explore materials and their interaction, creating a range of work that includes everything from drawing to jewellery to sculptures. &nbsp;

Andy Kerstens is an Antwerp-based designer who established his multidisciplinary design studio in 2015 with a distinct vision for architecture, interior and furniture design. The studio aims to create an atmospheric quality within a refined architectural design language. The designs are modest, timeless, and minimal, with a warm and solemn aesthetic created by a blend of rich, natural materials. Craftsmanship and sustainability are closely intertwined and form the basis of their projects. The work emanates a certain serenity, owing to the monochrome and timeless signature, combined with a touch of subtle luxury.

James Evans

James Evans is a ceramic artist based in London. Evans studied ceramics at the Central School of Art and Design in London during the 1980s, then went to the University of Colorado for an MA in Fine Arts. Evans creates biomorphic ceramic sculptures made up of a collision of qualities, ones not usually encountered within a single form. He often creates sculptures by employing ceramic and metallic materials, and the clay is fired and coated by a smooth crust of gleaming gold, tarnished copper, and rusted iron. The artworks are a peculiar amalgamation of human flesh, geological specimens which seem ostensibly soft but yet hard. &nbsp;

Sizar Alexis

Sizar Alexis is a Swedish-Iraqi product and furniture designer who experiments with geometrical shapes that exhibit serenity while staying sturdy in volume. His trademark style, based on designing objects with a strong character, is achieved using raw and imperfect surfaces in a combination of a strong interest in Brutalism and rich cultural and architectural heritage from ancient Mesopotamia. He creates objects that survive the test of time by juxtaposing the delicate characteristics of fine materials with Brutalist geometric shapes. &nbsp;

A-N-D is a decorative luminaire design studio and manufacturer based in Vancouver, Canada where original collections are conceptualized, built and assembled in-house. &nbsp;A-N-D investigates new design possibilities using innovative production methods while integrating the most current technologies in lighting. The result of that exploration puts forward honest products that transcend time and place. <h3 style="text-align:center;">About the Co-founders</h3>&nbsp;LUKAS PEET&nbsp;Lukas Peet practices his craft with sophistication and fluidity that bears the mark of a Design Academy Eindhoven alumni. He has been recognized internationally in a number of awards and competitions, most notably for the Winner of Canada’s Emerging Designer Award. His designs have been produced by international manufacturers such as Roll &amp; Hill. To A-N-D, Lukas brings a vast curiosity about objects, processes, materials and production techniques; he brings a desire to challenge the familiar and the normative, and everything in between.Series for A-N-D: Button, Orbit, Pebble, Pivot, Slab, Spotlight Volumes, Column, Lobe&nbsp;CAINE HEINTZMAN&nbsp;Caine Heintzman is a designer exploring various mediums as he applies rigorous material research, technical know-how, and a comprehensive understanding of lighting technology to an artful practice. His training at ECUAD and Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee has allowed him to hone a methodical process in which he interrogates the relationship between functional art object and space to design in a way that accentuates the built environment. Where his craft is sculptural, emphasizing modularity, forms can be seen in repetition to demonstrate an industrial elegance signature to his approach.Series for A-N-D: Pipeline, Vale, Vine, Iris&nbsp;MATT DAVIS&nbsp;Matt Davis brings a clarity of vision and collaborative spirit that transforms the people and ideas around him. To A-N-D, he contributes over a decade of experience in senior business management in the realm of lighting. ANDlight, a decorative luminaire design and manufacturing company, was founded with the desire to create functional lighting. ANDlight has established itself as a brand with substance since its start in 2014, with an authentic approach to the design process, production, and business practices. This experimental hub based in Brussels - Belgium, blurs the lines between Art and Design, showcasing a unique aesthetic born from their shared passion for refined craftsmanship.&nbsp;Their collaboration merges Bilal's background in Fashion as a Creative Windows Dresser with Jerome's experience in Creative Design for the digital industry. With several years' experience in the creative world, their eye has been sharpened, and today they sculpt and craft objects together, infusing them with artistic sensibility and professional expertise. Employing mixed lightweight materials and varied techniques, they explore shapes and volumes, achieving a delicate balance between sculptural containment and bodily intimacy. Their creations, inspired by nature, animals, and bodies, evoke a universe characterized by both order and chaos. Driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation, Bilal and Jerome's curiosity extends to realms such as Arts, architecture, and photography fueling their works.&nbsp;Bilal Salmi&nbsp;&nbsp;Born in Belgium. Bilal worked frantically for many years in the fashion industry as a creative at Ralph Lauren Benelux and as a window designer, notably for the Giorgio Armani Group, staging luxury products. Over time, he felt a natural need to return to simplicity and the slowness of expressing himself visually, artistically, and always manually through more personal projects in sculpture. Bilal imagines and creates objects and sculptures, by working delicately on their shapes and forms.&nbsp;Jerome Dieu&nbsp;&nbsp;Born in Belgium. Trained as a User Interface and User Experience Designer, and working in the digital industry for nearly 15 years. His passion for digital has given him the opportunity to work for a number of agencies and organizations in Brussels, London, and Antwerp. Craftsman from an early age, and passionate about materials and their technical processing, Jerome works on the research and development of innovative techniques (materials, techniques exploration, etc.) and meticulous craftsmanship.

<h2 style="text-align:center;">AHU</h2>&nbsp;Based in London and Istanbul, female-founded design studio Ahu creates contemporary collectible furniture and objects inspired by the traditions and mysticism of Asia Minor. Each limited edition piece is hand made in Istanbul by master craftsmen in historic, specialised ateliers, blending the best local artisanship with innovative production technologies. Founded by longtime friends and Central Saint Martins alumni Eda Akaltun and Mevce Çıracı, their respective backgrounds in visual arts and product design are tied together in their ability to refine culture and craftsmanship to create pieces that tell a story. Their work combines unique marbling paintings made by hand with contemporary furniture design, which seamlessly merges utility and luxury.&nbsp;&nbsp;The duo create collections that imbue spaces with symbols of luck and talismans of good fortune. Each piece is a functional work of art, designed to showcase the room in which it is placed. The first collection is inspired by ikram, the Turkish tradition of offering guests boundless hospitality. The visual starting point for the whole collection is nazar, the evil eye, and comprises cabinets, coffee tables, side tables and objects. Ahu’s unique creations are made to order.&nbsp;

<h3 style="margin-left:0px;text-align:center;">Design Process</h3>&nbsp;Ahu combines 25 years of international experience in product design and visual arts to appreciate and honour the storied culture and traditions of its heritage, breathing new life into pieces that offer a contemporary view of what Turkish design can be. Istanbul’s rich history of craftsmanship is celebrated in each piece which is made in third generation small workshops scattered around the city. Eda and Mevce navigate this complex network and work within a language of artisanship that is not only relevant to the place of Ahu’s origin, but also respectful of the longevity of the pieces. Mixing traditional woodworking techniques, luxurious durable materials and modern finishes, they strive to make timeless and exquisite pieces that can become modern heirlooms.&nbsp;
