The work of Valentina Cameranesi tends to tap into an element of the unconscious, a side of herself and humanity that surfaces indirectly. The Elements series draws inspiration from the rural, pastoral side of Sardinia. The Coatrack is made of iron tubes and is simple yet functional. However, the added elements transcend beyond adornment. Natural extrusions such as a rock, a sphere, a cactus-like wave, dulled spines, a shell, and a rustic ladder seem to emerge out of the structure. The colours of Sant'Antioco's pink salt flats is the inspiration behind the custom finish.
