Yerevan Vase is a personal memoir of the time the artist spent in Armenia. A sculptural representation of the contrasts, shapes, and materials seen in the architecture of the city Yerevan.
The artist created the Vase in close collaboration with Armenian stonemasons, from whom she learned more about the history and culture of the country. Inspired by the idea of pressed flowers, stems are placed delicately between two intersecting stone pieces that cover a little pool of water. The pieces are handmade from Armenian volcanic rock (tuff and basalt).
