The Block Collection is a series that includes objects made of brass forms that plummet into cast crystal volumes. Molten Swedish barium crystal is poured into textured graphite moulds, resulting in ice-like blocks when cooled. The crystal acts as a plinth. The hollow capsules are chambers for undivulged use, suitable for sacred or forbidden objects. The series examines the relationship between the stable and the unstable, the unbreakable and the fragile, reflecting on what it is to conceal, enclose, and support.
