Abid Javed

Abid Javed is a ceramic artist with a background in Molecular biology, creating collectable "molecular objects". His collections have a basis in Molecular Biology, which bring the invisible world to the foreground, intending to build a spiritual bond. Cells and molecules, as well as Arabic writing and geometry, are among the themes explored. Javed's artwork places itself between practical and sculptural, emphasizing the form and natural state of the clay. All of the objects are handcrafted using pinch, coil, and slab techniques. Each object is painstakingly created with a range of clays to give each object life.
