Charlyn Reyes

Charlyn Reyes is an artist and designer whose work focuses on design objects and sculpture. She primarily works with clay, which she is fascinated with for its history and connection to the earth. She graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada, with a Bachelor of Design (Honours) degree (BDes). Her continual explorations of form using natural materials endowed with energy draw inspiration from her admiration for the work of hands through craft traditions. Intuition and sensitivity to the materials guide her through the process of creating her unique artwork. Reyes is self-taught and creates her clay sculptures using traditional hand-building techniques such as coiling.
