Monotropa, a Prague-based design studio and brand, draws inspiration from a multi-local visual palette, creates oases of well-being, and promotes a slow and conscious way of life. It emphasizes natural or repurposed materials, fine craftsmanship, and simple, distinct forms. Monotropa offers a range of products and embraces highly-rewarding interdisciplinary collaboration.

The name takes inspiration from Monotropa Uniflora - a white non-photosynthetic wildflower also called a ghost plant that gets the energy from green photosynthetic plants with the help of certain fungi mycorhizal with trees.

Monotropa Uniflora represents parallel to the design creation as we can not stop ourselves from drawing from the endless resource of images around us. The seed of an idea often comes from elsewhere, consciously or unconsciously.
