Thomas Trad

Thomas Trad is a Beirut-based product designer. His aesthetics comes from his fascination with manufacturing processes, craftsmanship, and the beauty of materials. Trad, an alumnus of Central Saint Martins in London, worked for renowned firm Fredrikson Stallard and Michael Anastassiades before returning to Beirut in 2016 to start his eponymous design studio.

Trad expresses his aesthetic sensibilities through furniture that is both poetic and structural, with organic curves meeting abstract forms. 
He employs an experimental approach to materials when creating his growing collection. Trad graduated from Kyoto's Suikoushya International Craft School, where he pursued his interest in building processes through traditional and contemporary approaches.
