Tomáš Kučera

Tomáš Kučera is a Prague-based designer and glass artist. He was born in Svetla nad Sazavou, well-known as the glassmaking center. Currently enrolled at the Academy of Arts Architecture and Design in Prague – Glass studio of Rony Plesl. His work encompasses a wide range of small collections of collectible design pieces, most of which are made of kiln-cast glass. Kučera often works with various processes, ritual principles aimed at powerful awareness or the theme of redundancy. In 2021 he received the Czech Design Award.
