Overview
Stavros Kotsakis has led Studio Lampent, a lighting design and art studio based in Sweden, since 2011. Lampent is a combination of the words "lamp" and "lambent", and it represents the primary goal of the studio: to create lighting objects with a playful radiance.
Studio Lampent strives to produce a series of exceptional handcrafted luminaires that provide a genuine warmth to a wide range of interiors and explore the endless adventures of light while interacting with fascinating materials.
By placing light into the centre of the creation process, the creative journey from form to function is made possible. Light is naturally turned into a simple element for geometry when it becomes a part of symmetrical structures or transformed objects.
