Leading KUTARQ studio, architect and designer Jordi López Aguiló creates lighting, objects, and furniture with a distinctive and pragmatic perspective.
Overview
Each project follows a methodical process rooted in material exploration and in-depth research. Driven by a constant desire to reveal the “soul” of his objects, he designs pieces that are honest, timeless, and possess a life of their own. After gaining international experience collaborating with renowned architecture studios in Paris and Copenhagen, he returned to his hometown of Valencia, where he has led his own practice since 2012. His work has been exhibited internationally at major design events, including Milan Design Week, New York ICFF, Copenhagen 3 Days of Design, Light + Building in Frankfurt, NeoCon Chicago, Tokyo Design Week, Seoul Living Design Fair, Stockholm Furniture Fair, Maison&Objet in Paris, and Mexico Design Fair.
