The so-called "non-form" items are made by abstracting these figurative forms without changing the function for which they were primarily designed.&nbsp;

Charlyn Reyes

Charlyn Reyes is an artist and designer whose work focuses on design objects and sculpture. She primarily works with clay, which she is fascinated with for its history and connection to the earth. She graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada, with a Bachelor of Design (Honours) degree (BDes). Her continual explorations of form using natural materials endowed with energy draw inspiration from her admiration for the work of hands through craft traditions. Intuition and sensitivity to the materials guide her through the process of creating her unique artwork.&nbsp;Reyes is self-taught and creates her clay sculptures using traditional hand-building techniques such as coiling. &nbsp;

Tora Frogner turns emotions and sensations into shape, colour, and material to explore the reflections and processes of sense. Her artistic practice concentrates upon how subjects construct sensuous memories out of their surroundings, inspired by aesthetics as the concept of what moves them.The Norwegian-born artist, who has a formal background in Architecture and Material Culture Studies, lives and works in Copenhagen. Frogner's work is an exploration into atmospheres of everyday life, as well as the stories that emerge from nature, spaces, people and objects.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Milan Pekar

Milan Pekar is a Czech ceramic artist whose work primarily focuses on effect ceramic glazes, in which various types of crystals grow in glaze melts. He created new crystal glazes in which metallic crystals of iron, copper, and molybdenum, as well as crystals with an illusive effect, grow on the surface. Pekar also makes ceramic furniture out of soft extruded profiles. He perceives furniture as an object of fine arts inspired by archetypal shapes in architecture or applied art; their function is not strictly predetermined.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Valeria Vasi's search focuses on merging art, design, and functionality. For this reason, she founded this Barcelona-based studio committed to the design and production of small runs of unique pieces that emphasize geometry and simplicity. Loïc Bard is a designer based in Montreal specializing in woodworking. His work is deeply personal, with each piece imbued with reminiscences of people and places. Bard's work begins with free sketches and impromptu shape carvings. The organic forms that evolve from this process and inform his designs are inspired by Japanese craftsmanship ideals and entrenched in the natural environs of his childhood. In the objects he meticulously designs, he strives to convey a sense of simplicity and strength.The unique combination of subjective expressiveness blended with purity and form defines the work of Loïc Bard.

James Evans

James Evans is a ceramic artist based in London. Evans studied ceramics at the Central School of Art and Design in London during the 1980s, then went to the University of Colorado for an MA in Fine Arts. Evans creates biomorphic ceramic sculptures made up of a collision of qualities, ones not usually encountered within a single form. He often creates sculptures by employing ceramic and metallic materials, and the clay is fired and coated by a smooth crust of gleaming gold, tarnished copper, and rusted iron. The artworks are a peculiar amalgamation of human flesh, geological specimens which seem ostensibly soft but yet hard. &nbsp;

Leah Kaplan has experience of more than 30 years of working with clay, honing her skills in studios and schools in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. Kaplan began her full-time practice in 2018 after renovating a facility in a restored 19th-century glass factory. Her eclectic career path to ceramics included encouraging New York City designers and preserving indigenous craft traditions. She was lucky enough to meet talented artisans working in every conceivable medium during her time at the last job, and their work continues to influence her own. Her exquisite vessels have featured in internationally juried shows across the United States.&nbsp;

It is a hybrid of a design label and a gallery, based between Paris and Hyères Les Palmiers in the South of France.&nbsp;They bring together a unique selection of designers specializing in traditional savoir-fair and working with high-quality materials and experienced artisans. Also showcasing the work of rising designers and established artists through exhibits and collections issued in small or limited editions since 2020. They all have a similar aesthetic: the French Riviera. Via collaborations with designers and artisans, their vision and practices push them to design and promote bold, innovative creations. 13Desserts strive to explore new avenues of production and respond to a need for sustainable consumption. They also place a high value to respect 100% French production.&nbsp;

A-N-D is a decorative luminaire design studio and manufacturer based in Vancouver, Canada where original collections are conceptualized, built and assembled in-house. &nbsp;A-N-D investigates new design possibilities using innovative production methods while integrating the most current technologies in lighting. <h3 style="text-align:center;">About the Co-founders</h3>&nbsp;LUKAS PEET&nbsp;Lukas Peet practices his craft with sophistication and fluidity that bears the mark of a Design Academy Eindhoven alumni. He has been recognized internationally in a number of awards and competitions, most notably for the Winner of Canada’s Emerging Designer Award. His designs have been produced by international manufacturers such as Roll &amp; Hill. To A-N-D, Lukas brings a vast curiosity about objects, processes, materials and production techniques; he brings a desire to challenge the familiar and the normative, and everything in between.Series for A-N-D: Button, Orbit, Pebble, Pivot, Slab, Spotlight Volumes, Column, Lobe&nbsp;CAINE HEINTZMAN&nbsp;Caine Heintzman is a designer exploring various mediums as he applies rigorous material research, technical know-how, and a comprehensive understanding of lighting technology to an artful practice. His training at ECUAD and Kunsthochschule Berlin Weissensee has allowed him to hone a methodical process in which he interrogates the relationship between functional art object and space to design in a way that accentuates the built environment. ANDlight, a decorative luminaire design and manufacturing company, was founded with the desire to create functional lighting. ANDlight has established itself as a brand with substance since its start in 2014, with an authentic approach to the design process, production, and business practices. Offering appealing products that are timeless in form and functionality, sophisticated in aesthetics, and have a deft touch of whimsy. <h2 style="text-align:center;">A2Studio</h2>&nbsp;Bilal Salmi and Jerome Dieu, hailing from diverse creative backgrounds, fused their expertise to establish A2Studio. This experimental hub based in Brussels - Belgium, blurs the lines between Art and Design, showcasing a unique aesthetic born from their shared passion for refined craftsmanship.&nbsp;Their collaboration merges Bilal's background in Fashion as a Creative Windows Dresser with Jerome's experience in Creative Design for the digital industry. With several years' experience in the creative world, their eye has been sharpened, and today they sculpt and craft objects together, infusing them with artistic sensibility and professional expertise. Employing mixed lightweight materials and varied techniques, they explore shapes and volumes, achieving a delicate balance between sculptural containment and bodily intimacy. Their creations, inspired by nature, animals, and bodies, evoke a universe characterized by both order and chaos. Driven by a relentless pursuit of innovation, Bilal and Jerome's curiosity extends to realms such as Arts, architecture, and photography fueling their works.&nbsp;Bilal Salmi&nbsp;&nbsp;Born in Belgium. Bilal worked frantically for many years in the fashion industry as a creative at Ralph Lauren Benelux and as a window designer, notably for the Giorgio Armani Group, staging luxury products. Over time, he felt a natural need to return to simplicity and the slowness of expressing himself visually, artistically, and always manually through more personal projects in sculpture. Bilal imagines and creates objects and sculptures, by working delicately on their shapes and forms.&nbsp;Jerome Dieu&nbsp;&nbsp;Born in Belgium. Trained as a User Interface and User Experience Designer, and working in the digital industry for nearly 15 years. His passion for digital has given him the opportunity to work for a number of agencies and organizations in Brussels, London, and Antwerp. Craftsman from an early age, and passionate about materials and their technical processing, Jerome works on the research and development of innovative techniques (materials, techniques exploration, etc.) and meticulous craftsmanship.
