The Running Roots rugs, designed by Nina Sinding, draw inspiration from organic forms, patterns and structures. The artist bases her approach on a personal connection between the observer and the design, creating a sense of intimacy. The design refers to the state of uncontrolled consciousness, where the flow is halfway guided, halfway creating a life of its own. According to Sinding, "What I find is not what you find. What I see, you see differently." The final shapes reveal forms, patterns, structures resembling nature.
