Overview
Made by the creative duo Philip Rosenberger and Gabriele Adomaityte, the Zakaria Rugs Collection evolves through minimal gestures of digital drawing using line, color and subtly figurative abstract forms. Initially, the designs were conceived to integrate into interior spaces through forms that echo the natural world, reinterpreted through a digital lens.
Zakaria Rugs was founded  by Philip Rosenberger in 2019 in Amsterdam. Rosenberger established the platform not only to embrace functional design and celebrate craftsmanship, but also to foster trust, exchange ideas and strengthen connections within the surrounding creative community. The project aims to raise awareness around unsustainable consumption, while highlighting the value of handmade production and its impact on local economies in India and Morocco. Most importantly, Zakaria Rugs seeks to draw attention to pressing ecological issues affecting the contemporary world. The studio collaborates with artists and creatives who contribute meaningfully to cultural discourse, building relationships with those who share a connection to its values and vision.
