Overview

Jochen Magyar creates collectible furniture and sculptural objects where architecture, craftsmanship and perception converge.

Composition is the foundation of every project. Each object is developed through rigorous control of proportion, volume, material and construction. His work combines a strong, grounded presence with carefully considered proportions, subtle radii and fluid transitions.

Rooted in a background in fine arts, spatial design, interior architecture and architecture, his approach was further developed through apprenticeships in glassmaking at Atelier du Verre in Sars-Poteries, France, and furniture making at Casimir Ateliers in Antwerp.

Jochen Magyar Studio develops collectible furniture and sculptural objects produced in small editions in Belgium in collaboration with specialised craftspeople.
