FRAGMENT Ochre I stands as an architectural object whose angular silhouette reads as much like fractured geology as a functional container. Its surface is a deliberate collision of textures and tones — a stark, high-contrast granite speckle that cuts directly into a rich, raw ochre and deep volcanic black. Each planar facet catches light differently, shifting the character of the piece as the sun moves through the room.

Where standard vessels lean into symmetry and smooth curves, this one forces sharp geometry, raw edges, and a heavy, graphic presence. Each piece is meticulously built by hand from a unique, sustainable composite of recycled paper pulp, natural cement, mineral pigments, and binders. Once fully dried and finished, the material behaves more like aged wood than cold stone — robust, surprisingly lightweight, slightly elastic, and highly resistant to splitting.
This design doesn't smooth away natural variation — it leans into it. The hyper-textured finish, unpredictable surface shifts, and minor organic imperfections are exactly the point. It is imperfection elevated into raw, collectable beauty.
