Melbourne-based designer Christopher Boots creates sculptural lighting at the intersection of art, architecture and craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from nature, geology and classical and metaphysical worlds, his practice explores the expressive potential of light and natural materials, particularly quartz crystal.
Founded in 2011, his eponymous studio brings together traditional craftsmanship and material experimentation. Each piece is designed, prototyped and handcrafted in Melbourne in collaboration with skilled artisans, resulting in distinctive lighting objects conceived as future heirlooms that transcend function and shape architectural spaces.
