REM atelier is a Rotterdam-based art and design studio founded by Remty Elenga and Remco van Halderen. Working at the intersection of art, sculpture and functional design, the duo creates handcrafted, limited-edition objects that challenge conventional notions of form and function.
Driven by material exploration and an interest in organic structures, their practice combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technologies. Working across ceramics, wood, resin and photographic collage, REM atelier draws inspiration from natural textures, processes of growth and transformation. Each piece is produced locally in their Rotterdam studio, where experimentation and meticulous craftsmanship give rise to distinctive sculptural objects that blur the boundaries between practicality and artistic expression.
