Sculpted almost like a fabric-draped body, the piece is evocative of material that both covers and reveals at the same time, creating a presence that remains fluid rather than fixed. Its organic volumes seem to move subtly, balancing strength and vulnerability.
The work reflects an instinctive gesture, where form becomes a controlled rhythm, a shaped breath that speaks to both the physical and the spiritual. Its curves and folds evoke the texture of fabric and the weight of stone, suggesting an organic landscape: surfaces stretched over hidden structures, positioned between the intimate and the monumental.
Drapé Memoria is a deliberate approach to recomposing the body. Deconstructing and rebuilding it in a way that makes the familiar appear unfamiliar, allowing the feminine form to be reconsidered outside of traditional codes.
