Overview
Tora Frogner turns emotions and sensations into shape, colour and materials, exploring the reflections and processes of perception.

Her artistic practice focuses on how individuals construct sensuous memories from their surroundings, drawing inspiration from aesthetics understood as what moves and affects them. Rather than treating perception as passive, she investigates it as an active process shaped by time, attention, and lived experience.

The Norwegian-born artist who has a formal background in architecture and material culture studies, lives and works in Copenhagen. This interdisciplinary foundation informs her sensitivity to space, structure, and the emotional charge of environments. Frogner’s work explores the atmospheres of everyday life, as well as the subtle narratives that emerge from nature, spaces, people and objects.Through her practice she translates these impressions into material compositions that invite reflection on how we perceive and remember the world around us.
