Overview
Loïc Bard is a designer based in Montreal specializing in woodworking. His work is deeply personal, with each piece imbued with reminiscences of people and places.

Bard’s process begins with free sketches and impromptu carvings. The organic forms that emerge from this process and inform his designs are inspired by Japanese craftsmanship ideals, as well as the natural environment of his childhood. Through the objects he meticulously creates, he seeks to convey a sense of simplicity and strength. The unique combination of subjective expressiveness and purity of form defines the work of Loïc Bard.
