Overview

William Guillon is a French designer and art director based in Bordeaux. His work explores the tension between decay and elegance, permanence and fragility, resulting in collectible pieces that feel both ancient and distinctly contemporary.

Rooted in a neo-romantic, tragic aesthetic, his creations reflect a fascination with imperfect beauty, emotional depth and the haunting presence of the unfinished. Each object is conceived as a functional sculpture, part fragment, part mythology, marked by time yet singular in character. Since founding his studio in 2014, Guillon has developed a recognisable body of work, particularly known for sculptural lighting and accessories. He primarily works with cast bronze, including rare alloys such as white bronze, which he transforms into expressive forms through a highly artisanal process.

Every piece is handmade in his Bordeaux studio, signed and numbered, often as one a kind works or limited editions. No molds are used, each form is sculpted from scratch, ensuring that no two pieces are identical. This approach allows for full creative freedom and makes each work uniquely specific. His work is exhibited internationally in selected galleries and showrooms and has been featured in publications including Vogue, Interior Design, Dezeen, Elle Decorations and Côté Ouest.
