Atorie bu

Established as a space for material research and experimentation, the studio has evolved into a small-scale production environment that embraces both functional and artistic ceramics. Rooted in a craft driven approach, Kınalıkaya’s practice focuses on hands-on processes and the exploration of clay through experimental glaze applications. Through her investigation into materials and the way in which she tests textures, minerals and surface treatments she is able to create distinctive expressive forms. 

Each piece is shaped through an intuitive and process led methodology, where experimentation plays a central role. The resulting objects balance between utility and artistic expression, embodying a tactile and material sensitivity that defines Atorie bu’s identity.
