Light objects that float weightlessly in space. Fragile, iridescent, and timeless. Solitary or arranged in constellations, ELOA lamps create individual lighting concepts that evoke star formations.
Simone Lüling, a Berlin based Swiss designer, founded ELOA in 2015. She designs and coordinates the objects striving to blend craftsmanship and simplicity. ELOA offers a range of pendant, floor, standing and wall luminaries, as well as bowls and vases. The idea for ELOA emerged while working on a commissioned project in aloft space, where the lighting needed to define several functional areas: cooking, earring and working. This led to the desire to create a flexible, modular system of hand blown lights, which became ELOA the following year. ELOA combines traditional glass blowing techniques with a simple yet distinctive design language. The large scale of the glass objects, combined with the process of working without molds, requires a high level of expertise that only a few master glassblowers in Bohemia can achieve. Each piece is blown freely in the air without form, using refined techniques and exceptional craftsmanship, making every object unique.
